1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing this website or engaging SETRIX Logistics for shipping agency, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or transportation services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Our services
SETRIX Logistics acts as a shipping agent and customs clearance provider, arranging inbound and outbound clearance, documentation, free zone facilitation, freight forwarding support, and port-to-door transportation across the UAE on behalf of clients. We act as an agent coordinating with carriers, ports, and regulatory authorities — we are not the carrier, customs authority, or insurer of the goods.
3. Quotes and pricing
Quotes provided verbally, by email, or through the website are estimates based on the information supplied at the time. Final charges — including duties, taxes, port fees, and third-party costs — are confirmed once a shipment's full documentation and specifications are reviewed, and may vary from the initial estimate.
4. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely documentation and shipment information. We are not liable for delays, additional costs, or clearance issues arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or late information supplied by the client.
5. Payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for duties, fees, and service charges is due prior to cargo release or as specified on the applicable invoice. Delayed payment may result in delayed clearance or release of goods, and any associated demurrage, storage, or penalty charges are the client's responsibility.
6. Limitation of liability
SETRIX Logistics exercises reasonable skill and care in performing its services but does not guarantee specific clearance timelines, as these depend in part on third parties including customs authorities, carriers, and port operators. To the extent permitted by UAE law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the fees paid to us for the shipment in question.
7. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including port congestion, customs authority action, strikes, weather events, or other circumstances outside our direct control.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable free zone authority under which SETRIX Logistics is registered. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Dubai, UAE.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable regulations. The current version will always be available on this page.
